Stern Film Studio aims to offer the Hungarian and international filming community with infrastructure adaptable to all types of film and television projects.
Productions for cinema and television produced in Hungary are eligible for a 30% rebate based on their expenditure (all the direct film production costs) spent in the country. The incentive system is part of the Film Support Program approved by the European Film Commission.
Soundstages
STAGE A
The soundstage is an impressive 24,500 square feet in size. With a height of 43 feet, it offers ample vertical space for various production needs. Its spacious design allows for the construction of elaborate sets and the use of advanced filming equipment providing an attractive option for both local and international filmmakers.
Ideal for large-scale film and television projects.
STAGE B
The soundstage spans 16.000 square feet and stands 43 feet high, offering ample space for diverse production needs. Adjacent to Stage A, it provides a convenient location within the studio complex, allowing for seamless collaboration and resource sharing. One of its standout features is the integrated water tank, ideal for aquatic scenes and special effects.
STAGE C
Offers 8.000 square feet of versatile production space with a height of 17 feet. Located next to Stage A, it provides convenient access within the studio complex. Filmmakers love using it for its flexibility and adaptability. The open layout is perfect for building custom sets and accommodating various production needs. Stage C has become a favorite for creative and VFX shoots that require a unique space.
STAGE D
Stern Film Studio offers a compact yet versatile space of 1,600 square feet with a height of 21 feet. Equipped with convenient rigging points, the space is highly functional for various production needs, such as smaller green screen shoots. Providing the perfect environment for creating special effects, it’s also well-suited for element shoots and volume wall work, offering filmmakers flexibility and precision. Additionally, Stage D serves as an excellent base for stunts, allowing for safe and controlled execution of rehearsing sequences.
OFFICES
The offices are spread across three office blocks, offering crew members easy access to stages. Some offices feature carpeting, while others have hardwood floors, and all are furnished with tables, chairs, and shelving. Additionally, the windows in each office provide ample natural lighting, creating a bright and inviting work environment.
WORKSHOPS
Stern Film Studio boasts an expansive 50.000 square feet of workshop space, ideal for film productions across various departments. This vast area is designed to accommodate set construction, prop creation, and costume design, ensuring every aspect of production is well-supported. With dedicated sections for different departments, the workshop spaces facilitate seamless collaboration and efficient workflow. The areas also allow for storage of large set pieces or production assets and materials, keeping the production process organized.
