Space Studios Manchester

Space Studios Manchester opened in 2014 and is a purpose-built facility for feature film, HETV and commercials production. Located 10 minutes from Manchester city centre and Piccadilly train station, the site features over 80,000 sq ft of production space across 6 acoustically treated sound stages, ranging from 9,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft, along with purpose designed dressing and make-up facilities, laundry, prop storage, workshops, on-site catering and extensive free parking.

Purpose-built production spaces

The production spaces, ranging from 9,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft, have been designed to meet the needs of any production company. There is 24/7 access, easy load-in points and a loading area that benefits from an extensive canopy for those rainy days.

The production space can be hired in conjunction with a suite of back stage facilities including dressing rooms, make up, wardrobes, green room and production offices as per required.

The experienced Space Studios Manchester team is on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently from rig to de-rig.

Production Offices, Dressing Rooms & Make-Up

Space Studios Manchester has a wide range of dedicated support space directly adjacent to each of the production spaces including workshops. This includes workshops plus a full suite of dressing rooms, makeup facilities, showers/washrooms and an onsite laundry, as well as extensive flexible support space providing tenants with conveniently located production offices.

The 21 production offices, which are sized 800 sq ft through to 2000 sq ft, can be supplied with high-speed internet and phone systems.

Our dressing rooms — from standard to superstar — are just steps away from the stages, with each make- up room offering six stations with LED mirrors and a dedicated back wash area.

Space Studios Manchester is supported by site-wide superfast connectivity. Offices are available for dry hire for productions filming onsite and for companies that are out on location.

Space Camp is the onsite dining area, with a seated capacity of 150, super-fast WIFI, catering and accessible 24/7 for onsite tenants and productions, Space Camp is the communal heart of Space Studios Manchester.
