Perth Film Studios is a world‑class, purpose‑built screen production facility located just 30 minutes from central Perth and 15 minutes from the airport, offering fast access for international cast, crew and freight, and situated near Malaga – a light‑industrial precinct with extensive suppliers, trades, fabrication and production services.

The studio features four soundstages totalling 90,000 sq ft, supported by dedicated production offices, workshops, and a 5.7‑acre backlot designed to deliver maximum creative control and operational flexibility. Backed by the Western Australian Government, Perth Film Studios plays a key role in expanding screen production capacity, attracting international, national and local projects, and driving long‑term industry growth through innovation.

Facilities

Four Purpose‑built Soundstages
90,000 sq ft of NR25‑rated acoustic soundstages, purpose‑built for film, television and high‑end screen production. Each stage provides a flexible, neutral environment designed to support a wide range of creative and technical requirements.

Workshops

Production‑ready, adaptable workshop spaces suitable for set construction, fabrication and technical builds, with direct access to the soundstages via full‑height elephant doors for efficient movement of large sets and equipment.

Annex Buildings

Located directly adjacent to the soundstages, these purpose‑built support buildings provide flexible‑use spaces tailored to the daily needs of cast, crew and production teams.

Backlot

More than 24,800 sq ft / 5.7 acres of open, controllable exterior space adjacent to the soundstages, ideal for exterior builds, staging and location work within a secure studio environment.

Operations Building

The central hub of Perth Film Studios, housing the studio management team, screening room, mess hall, and shared operational facilities that support smooth, efficient production workflows.

Cultural Space

Within the studio precinct, the Yarning Circle – created in collaboration with the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation, the First Nations custodians of the land – is a dedicated place for connection and reflection. The space hosts cultural gatherings, informal events and storytelling, and offers a calm, considered environment for cast, crew and visitors.
