Beijing — In a major swing for China’s digital content industry, CreateAI Holdings has opened the doors to what it calls Asia’s largest and most advanced motion capture facility — a massive 21,500-square-foot soundstage housed inside the China Film Production Base in Beijing’s Huairou District.
Outfitted with a jaw-dropping array of 130 Vicon VK26 optical cameras, each capturing at 26.2 megapixels with sub-millimeter accuracy, the facility is capable of recording up to 10 performers simultaneously, from full-body action sequences to the most subtle facial expressions.
“This is more than a studio — it’s a creative supercomputer,” said Cheng Lu, President and CEO of CreateAI. “We’re giving developers and filmmakers the tools to tell bigger, bolder, more immersive stories than ever before.”
The launch comes as CreateAI ramps up development on its high-profile video game “Heroes of Jin Yong”, an open-world epic based on the legendary martial arts novels of Louis Cha. But insiders say the new facility will serve far more than gaming: it’s engineered to handle AAA video games, cinematic VFX, feature animation, and AI-driven content creation at global scale.
