Singapore-based creator tech company Animeta is making a major push into artificial intelligence with the launch of its new AI Film Studio in Mumbai — a move that positions the firm at the intersection of brand storytelling and cutting-edge technology.
The venture marks a significant pivot for Animeta, which has until now built its business around influencer marketing campaigns for global clients including Amazon, Starbucks, Warner Music, L’Oréal Group, Tata Group, McDonald’s and Uber. Its Animeta Brandstar platform already taps a creator network topping 400,000 members.
The AI Film Studio is being developed in partnership with Google Cloud’s startup program and will leverage Vertex AI’s Veo3 video generation model. Animeta brings its existing infrastructure in computer vision, video encoding, natural language processing and large language models to the project.
“For two decades, I helped reimagine storytelling through animation. Now, our AI Film Studio is here to push those boundaries further than ever before,” said Animeta founder Anish Mehta. “We’ve built a hybrid model where human creativity and AI technology work together seamlessly, empowering creators to tell their stories faster, smarter, and infinitely scalable with copyright indemnity.”
The goal: to help brands generate high-quality, on-brand promotional content at scale and speed — a proposition aimed squarely at today’s digital-first marketing landscape.
Mehta is no stranger to large-scale content operations. As CEO of Singapore and India-based animation powerhouse Cosmos-Maya, he oversaw its growth from 30 staffers to more than 1,200 and shepherded India’s breakout animated hit Motu Patlu. In 2021, NewQuest Capital Partners acquired majority ownership of Cosmos-Maya.
With Animeta’s new push into AI, Mehta is betting the future of branded storytelling will be forged at the intersection of human creativity and machine-driven scale.
