Film crews have begun descending on Cleveland for the latest portion of filming for James Gunn’s Superman, and Stagerunner has obtained exclusive images of one of its most iconic locations.
The photos show Cleveland’s Leader Building being turned into the Daily Planet, the newspaper that employs Clark Kent and Lois Lane. It’s still under construction, but you can still get a good glimpse at a sleek Daily Planet globe, as well as a Daily Planet banner.
Cleveland is just one of the filming locations for Superman, as crews started turning Superior Avenue Downtown into Metropolis earlier this week, News 5 Cleveland reported. Filming on Superman began in March in Norway, where the film’s Fortress of Solitude scenes were shot, Gunn previously revealed.
News 5 Cleveland also posted a video of the Daily Planet globe, which you can see below.
Mild-mannered reporter @KosichJohn swung by the Leader Building in Downtown Cleveland this morning and spotted this iconic gem outside "The Daily Planet." The rest of the world will get its chance to see it in the Superman Genesis movie. pic.twitter.com/eLRq7k5cpo
